Paste an MPD, M3U8 or M3U link and it plays. No sign-up to watch, no advertising, no limit on how much you watch and nothing timed. Premium adds a longer library and a few comforts on top; it never decides whether a stream will play.

ClearKey and Widevine
Protected DASH streams play, whether the key travels with the playlist or comes from a license server. On Android that runs on unloopMed; on iPhone and iPad it runs on unloopmpv, because the system player there cannot open an .mpd at all.

A real channel list
An M3U becomes a browsable list, grouped the way the playlist groups itself with group-title. Search across the whole list, pin what you watch most, and choose how many channels sit on a row.

Series stay together
Playlists that carry films and series list every episode as a separate entry - sixty thousand of them is normal. IPTV Room folds those into one tile per series, with seasons and episodes inside, so the list is something you can actually read.

Programme guide
XMLTV guides load from the url-tvg the playlist declares, from several declared at once, or from as many as you type in yourself. What is on now and what is next sit beside each channel.

Built for the remote
Android TV is not an afterthought here. Every screen - library, channel list, guide, player, settings - is laid out so the D-pad reaches everything, in the order your thumb expects.

Live knows it is live
A live channel does not pretend to have a timeline you can scrub. Films and episodes do, and they keep the progress bar, chapters and seek that they need.

It remembers your language
Pick an audio or subtitle track once and the next channel opens the same way. A stream that does not carry that language is simply left as it is, rather than falling silent.

Per-playlist headers
A portal that only answers a particular User-Agent gets one, set on that playlist alone and applied to every channel in it. Your other playlists are untouched.
