About this product
simplesolat is a prayer times app that does one job well. It uses the official timetables published by each country's religious authority: JAKIM in Malaysia, KHEU in Brunei, MUIS in Singapore, Kemenag in Indonesia and ACJU in Sri Lanka. It picks your zone from GPS and switches on its own when you travel, so the times stay correct from Johor to Singapore or Miri to Brunei.
Home screen widgets (and lock screen widgets on iPhone) keep today's times in view without opening the app. You choose which prayers get a reminder, including Imsak, Syuruk and Dhuha. There's a Qibla compass, and it works offline after the first setup.
It's free with no ads, no account and no in-app purchases, and your location never leaves your phone. I built it as a side project and want to keep it that way. Monthly timetables you can print are on simplesolat.com, and the prayer time data is open for other developers to use.
